Arturo Mariano's Blooming Petals Agri-Tourism Park is one of the new attractions near the Tupi Fruit Market and GenSan. They just opened to the public in 2017. They plant sunflower seeds imported from Jakata, Japan, aside from chrysanthemums, anthuriums and roses. They were featured in Tripzilla's list of beautiful flower fields in the Philippines.
We passed through the passionfruit tunnel and passed by the flower nursery.
There really wasn't much when we went (June) but I heard they plant more and there's usually a circular maze in the past as a photo spot. It becomes filled with big sunflower fields for 3 weeks in time for Valentines Day (Feb), Mother's Day (May), T'nalak Festival (July) and December.
We had to walk all the way down the upo tunnel to get to the last remaining sunflowers.
The flowers have a short life span of 3 weeks and I also heard that they have around 5 varieties available. They also have a flower shop in Dangwa, Sampaloc, Manila!
