Jazzy Sunday American Brunch Buffet at the Oakroom! + Giveaway

What do you do on Sundays? For some of us, it's our only alone time away from our work from Mondays to Saturdays. Is music part of your chillax day? There's a new Sunday lunch buffet concept that combines American food with live jazzy entertainment at the Oakroom until next month only! I happened to try out their buffet last week and I can only say that a combination of lunch + music + good company + travel conversations is a great way to start your Sunday =) It was like a mix of alone time and friends time in one go. Enjoy Oakroom's Jazzy Brunch selection (below) from 12 noon to 3 p.m. every Sunday until November 2014 ;)

I must say that the best seats in the house are those in front of the stage and a little bit on the side next to the buffet table hehe. We were there early and they were already preparing for a lovely set of oldies, lounge and mellow music I can actually sing to. The band's presence is light enough for conversations but the songs are the ones I grew up with so I would stop once in a while to close my eyes and sway to the music discreetly while enjoying my food. I believe the saxophone had a lot to do with it!! Haha.

They have a wide selection of food for youngsters and parents so it's perfect for family time as well.

The dishes are created and prepared by none other than resident Chef Jerome Cartailler and his team. =) The food for this brunch buffet is American mostly.

J and I were joking around and I told him I'd make a poll. LOL. Which do you think is healthier? A or B? Haha. This is Exhibit A with the Waldorf salad, another salad, fishcakes, cheese stick and buffalo wings.

This is Exhibit B with the salmon, fish cake, Key West seafood, baby back ribs, fishcake and bit-sized shrimp combi.

For one of my last plates, I finally gave in to bacon to check out my seatmate's obsession with it and chocolate haha.

oakroom-ortigas-lunch-buffet.jpg

As if the food coma was not enough, I came back for around 2 helpings of chocolate ice cream to end my almost 4-hour long brunch LOL.
