I believe that one of the best pasalubongs from Pampanga include a wide variety of snacks and desserts, apart from the cured meats like the tocino. On 2 separate trips (most recently for the Electrolux Discover-E Food Tour), I've managed to go to these 3 places - one is a pasalubong / snack house called Susie's Cuisine, the other is a pasalubong / sweet shop called Carreon's and the last is an old bakery called La Moderna. Let me show you what I saw, bought, ate, what caught my eye and what I've heard are the to-buys when in Pampanga based on various recommendations and stories. There's also a buko ice treat we found in this post (of course, this you can't take home already haha) =) Please be informed that shops like Susie's are a great hit in Pampanga so they have multiple branches. It's up to you to pick up that map and choose which branch is nearest to your other food trip locations. As you can see, there are foodie finds across this province (sample: Arayat, Mexico, San Fernando, Angeles, Magalang, Guagua, etc.) so have fun doing your trip itinerary =)
After lunch at the original branch of Everybody's Cafe in San Fernando, we got to a branch of Susie's Cuisine in 15 minutes by car! This is the RRK Building San Fernando Branch of Susie's Cuisine.

A Kapampangan friend based in Manila said she can eat this Aligue as it is. So you might want to follow suit haha (check cholesterol level first). A small bottle costs around P190 while a big one costs around P290.
I bought this Butterscotch for P100. Not good.. I like Iloilo's Butterscotch from the Original Biscocho Haus.
You should check out the "freshly-made" section instead near the counter. This one is so good I forgot to buy it!!! It's called Tibok-Tibok (like or is actually Maja Blanca) and it's one of Susie's specialties. A solo costs only P20 =) There's one with mais (corn) too!
Naman kasi! It looked like this when I first saw it at the Nepo Mart branch! The latik is added later or it might probably spoil faster.
Someone in the group bought this to go. A solo Moche-Moche (probably a piece) costs P6!
A solo Sapin-Sapin only costs P13.. Haist..
And this looks-moist-and-mouthwatering Moist Chocolate Cake costs P45 for solo size.

Back to the recent trip, we went to the La Moderna Bakery in Guagua next after Susie's in San Fernando (got there in 40 minutes by car, normal speed).
You can find it at the Plaza Burgos in Guagua, Pampanga. La Moderna has been in the business (candy factory) since the 1800s and has been in this current location since 1947. Check out the history of the La Moderna Bakery here.
I think their specialty is the Ensaymada and I believe they still use the traditional pugon. Sadly, I didn't have room anymore for a snack and I already got my pasalubong to try out some of their baked goods.
We got to Carreon's Sweets & Pastries (since 1946) during our first food trip to Pampanga.
It's just a simple store - ready for take out of treats!

For my last note on this topic, you should really get your hands on Pampanga's Carabao Milk Pastillas.. ;) Haha. It's sweet & rich and a childhood favorite =)
